Privacy Policy
Media Leap Inc. (hereinafter, “we” or “the Company”) hereby establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter, “this Policy”) regarding the handling of users' personal information in the smartphone application “MEN-YUKI” (hereinafter, “this App”) provided by the Company.
Article 1 (Personal Information)
“Personal Information” means “personal information” as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and refers to information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual through descriptions such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other descriptions contained in the information, as well as data concerning appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and information such as the insurer number of a health insurance card that can identify a specific individual by itself (personal identification information).
Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)
When a user registers, we may ask for authentication information (such as an email address) through a Google account. In addition, we may collect location data, device identifiers, usage data, and other information incidental to providing the App's features.
Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows.

- To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification)
- To send information about new features, updates, campaigns, etc. of features being used by the user and notices about other services provided by us
- To contact users regarding maintenance and important notices as necessary
- To identify users who have violated the Terms of Service or who attempt to use this App for illegal or improper purposes, and to refuse such use

- To bill users for paid features (payments are processed via each platform)

Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)
We will change the purpose of use of personal information only when the change is reasonably recognized as being related to the purpose before the change. If we change the purpose of use, we will notify the user of the changed purpose by a method prescribed by us, or publish it on this website.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
We will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user's prior consent, except in the following cases. However, this does not apply when permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws and regulations.

Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, in the following cases, the recipient of the information shall not be deemed a third party.

If the personal information we hold about a user is incorrect, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion of personal information (hereinafter, “Correction, etc.”) in accordance with the procedures prescribed by us. If we determine that it is necessary to comply with the request upon receiving the request from the user, we will make the Correction, etc. of the relevant personal information without delay. When we have made a Correction, etc. or decided not to make a Correction, etc. pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, we will notify the user to that effect without delay.
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
If we receive a request from a person to suspend use or erase personal information (hereinafter, “Suspension of Use, etc.”) on the grounds that the personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use or that it was obtained by improper means, we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay. Based on the results of the investigation in the preceding paragraph, if we determine that it is necessary to comply with the request, we will suspend the use of the relevant personal information without delay. When we have suspended the use, etc. or decided not to suspend the use, etc. pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, we will notify the user to that effect without delay. Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if the Suspension of Use, etc. would entail significant expense or other circumstances that make the Suspension of Use, etc. difficult, and an alternative measure necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user can be taken, we will take such alternative measure.
Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
The contents of this Policy may be changed without notice to users, except for matters otherwise stipulated in this Policy or other laws and regulations. Unless otherwise specified by us, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect when it is posted on this website.
Article 10 (Use of the Google Maps API)
This App uses Google Maps Platform provided by Google LLC (hereinafter, “Google”) for features such as exploring and displaying nearby ramen shops on a map. The following information is handled in providing these features.
- Types of data collected and transmitted
To provide the Google Maps features, the following information may be transmitted to and collected and used by Google.- Device location data (latitude/longitude)
- Search queries (search terms entered by the user)
- IP address
- Other technical information necessary for providing the Google Maps features
- Purpose of use
We use this information only for the purpose of providing this App's features, such as radar scanning for nearby shops, pinpointing coordinates, map display, and rankings. This information is transmitted to Google and handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). - Combination with other data
We will never combine location data obtained through Google Maps with data obtained from other data providers for the purpose of identifying individual users. - User consent and right to refuse
Before collecting or using location data, this App will notify the user of this fact and obtain the user's explicit, prior, and revocable consent through the device's OS settings or app permission settings.
